Isaiah 30 – We are obstinate, but thankfully God is overwhelmingly compassionate. Isaiah’s prophecy rings eerily true today. Listen in and be stirred yet comforted.

Daniel 2:44 – So many powerful kingdoms have come… and gone. In Daniel, we hear of a kingdom greater than all others. It will endure for ever. This brings hope and comfort to God’s people.
Hebrews 10:31 – The first Good Friday was a dreadful day for Jesus, but it was the basis for our acceptance before God. It’s a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God, but, thankfully, Jesus went there for us.
Mark 5:21-43 – Jesus is Lord over everything – including life and death. This is great news for His people. We needn’t fear the things of this life or even death itself.
Matthew 28:19-20 & Galatians 3:13-14 – In order for evangelism to become “normal,” we need to have a re-think. We must see evangelism as a command to be obeyed (instead of a suggestion), and a privilege (instead of a chore). Christians will not face the curse of God. This changes everything!
Gen 1:27-28 & Deut 7:7-9 – “Evangelism” is a word that generates anxiety for most Christians. Understanding what evangelism is (and what it isn’t!), is the first step towards faithfulness (no matter how we might feel!).
Genesis 41-44 – One day Joseph is in prison and the next he’s practically the most powerful man in the world! In Joseph’s story, we see just how wonderful and surprising God’s workings are. We’re urged to praise him and to… repent.
1 Peter 4:19 – Suffering inevitably comes upon God’s people. We must entrust ourselves to God and continue to do good.
Romans 12:19 – Is there any place for vengeance in the Christian’s life? No. Do we often, though, seek the downfall of others (at least in our minds!)? In Romans, Paul gives us helpful principles to fight against the urge to “get back” at that person. Listen and grow.
Gen 30:25-31:55 – How aware are you of God’s working in your life on a daily basis? Jacob’s up to his old tricks again, but God continues to provide for and protect Jacob in spite of Jacob. Will Jacob grow in God awareness? Will you?
Gen 29:14-30:24 – A peek into Jacob’s family life is sad, but all the time, God’s promise is growing. Is your life similarly “messy?” Remembering that God is at work changes everything.
Genesis 28:10-29:14a – Do God’s promises still apply to a trickster like Jacob? Surprisingly, yes. As God first speaks to Jacob, we’re challenged to re-think our priorities and pay attention to the outworking of God’s plan in our lives. God is near to tricksters.
Genesis 22 – Unbelievably, God tells Abraham to kill his son Isaac and offer him as a burnt offering. What will Abraham do? Through Abraham and Isaac we learn invaluable lessons about faith and God’s grand plan to provide a substitute for sinners.
Genesis 18-19 – As we hear of God’s terrifying judgement upon Sodom and Gomorrah, we’re reminded that God alone knows the path to life. Our passage today gives us 3 signposts along that path.
Genesis 12:10-20 – Can we trust God when the wheels seem to come off? From Abram’s journey, we learn that despite all threats, God remains faithful.
